Daphne Reiley, Spiritual Navigator

Bringing her experience as a family caregiver, workshop and retreat leader, caregiver spiritual support trainer, lay minister and faithful listener in her own spiritual journey, Daphne Reiley serves as the congregation’s Spiritual Navigator. In this role she provides a variety of resources and activities designed to bring us all closer to the God we worship and the Christ we follow.

Having enjoyed a decades-long professional career working with law firms as a legal secretary and paralegal, Daphne most recently served as a client services coordinator for an elder and disability law firm, where she spent time listening to the stories of clients and their families — many of which were caregiving stories.

Daphne has earned certifications in Spiritual Formation and Spiritual Direction from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Ga.  Additionally, in 2022 she was awarded the Certificate in Pastoral Ministries from Lexington Theological Seminary in Lexington, Ky.

Informed by her personal experiences with the Presence of God as a child, each of her interactions with congregants in general — as well as with those she meets with in spiritual direction — is bathed in Spirit.  Daphne encourages prayer as her basic spiritual discipline, recognizing the requirement of communication with God as the prime discipline for creating and maintaining healthy relationships, with God and others.

Daphne has been married to Ralph since the 1990s, and together they have Thomas and Felix — each of whom they are especially proud — plus generally more than one furkid.
